The journey to success is interesting. No two journeys are exactly the same, but there are many similarities.
As you work your way through your success journey, you’ll notice certain signs along the way. Knowing these signs in advance can be the juice you need to recode our limiting beliefs and cultural agreements. These little known details can give you the spark you need to keep making progress.
Keep your eyes open for these signs of success:
1 – A greater willingness to take risks
Playing it safe is a sure sign nothing spectacular is going to happen. Your desires will require you to take risks and do things differently. The version of you who has it all already exists, and that soul is not who you are today.
2 – More integrity
Integrity is a personal journey and should not only be used to flex on social media. One of the most effective ways to build relationships and attract your perfectly aligned clients is to demonstrate integrity. Something else to note – your success journey requires the involvement of others. You’ll need a support team (personal and business), a therapist, a coach, and prayer.
3 – The ability to deal with obstacles and setbacks
I’ll just go ahead and be a buzz kill – the journey doesn’t get easier. You will become more graceful. Your grace will set your temperament and that is where you will find ease in the situations you are faced with.
The truth is, the more you attempt, the more challenges you will face. You will learn to reframe challenges into opportunities for impact and you will naturally continue toward your goals.
4 – Gratitude
True thanksgiving comes with repetition. The more you attempt to accomplish, the more you’ll appreciate the many blessings you already possess.
5 – Less concern regarding the opinions of others
You’ll find many of the least successful people you know are those most concerned with the opinions of others. They’re paralyzed by fear and refuse to do anything that might lead to failure and criticism.
6 – You raise your standards
Once you’re satisfied, you’re done making progress. The real question is “are we “really” ever done?” There is always an opportunity to reach for a new experience. God has created us to magnify in glory. When you raise your standards, you create a new floor for your behavior and results.
7 – A clear vision for the future
What are you aiming for? What will your personal and professional life look like once you reach your goal(s)? It’s hard to be successful if you don’t know where you’re headed.
8 – Freedom from the past
Letting go of the past can be exhausting. It has shaped our history and a huge part of our belief systems are created by the cultural agreements passed on to us. Successful people are focused on today and the future. They don’t have the time to worry about what happened 10 years ago or even 10 days ago.
9 – More self-discipline
Three factors must inspire your success journey: discipline, discernment and implementation. Hitting your goals is the result of taking effective, and often repetitious, actions day after day. Those that struggle with success, picture their journey to be filled with high vibes, red carpets and paparazzi moments. But success is boring 99% of the time. The highlight reel only represents the 1%.
10 – The ability to laugh at yourself
When you see what success entails, you’ll laugh at your former self. Enjoy life and laugh at yourself on a regular basis.
Some successes are easier to witness than others. It’s easy to measure your bank account or your body weight. Other successes come more subtly and take longer periods of time. However, there are signs you can expect to see on the road to success.
Keep your eyes open. Each time you see one, you’ll gain a boost of motivation and know you’re on the right path!
Until next time…
